Mark
Drummond PhD Thesis and Public Policy Website
This
website presents my University of
Canberra PhD thesis titled Costing
Constitutional Change: Estimates of
the
Financial Benefits of New States, Regional Governments, Unification and
Related
Reforms. This thesis was
completed in
2007 and is
available online in full in pdf format as part of the Australasian
Digital Thesis collection
via the
University
of Canberra library. My
personal website here also
presents my PhD thesis
in full,
with separate files for each
chapter and appendix of the thesis, again in pdf format. Further
thoughts on government
structure reform are also offered
both in
connection with my PhD
thesis and
more generally.
In May 2009 I've
developed a government structure reform plan called the
Australia
United plan.
In June 2009 I prepared a Critique
of the 2007 Paper by Anne Twomey and Glenn Withers titled Australia's
Federal Future: A Report for
the Council for the Australian Federation.
This website
also presents some thoughts developed in other
areas
of public policy including education,
health,
national
security, human
rights, and
government
system reform
both in connection with my PhD
thesis and
more generally, as above.
An engineering degree thesis on aircraft noise completed in 1996
and a masters
thesis on comparative federalism completed in 1999 are
also shown here.
