SUMMERNATS CLASSIC CAR SUNDAY

Chic Henry has invited Canberra car clubs to put on a display (a show-n-shine) at Summernats on Sunday 6^th January 2008.  He says that he wants to add to the spectacle and also give the Canberra car clubs a profile at Summernats.  In 2007 there were over 200 classic cars on display on Classic Car Sunday and Chic is hoping for an even bigger turn-out for Summernats 21.

Participation by clubs is being coordinated through the Council of ACT Motor Clubs.  The arrangements are:

§       The display area is the EPIC arena with all cars required to pre-assemble at the Canberra Tennis Centre Mouat St Lyneham  between 8:00 and 9.15am on Sunday 6^th January

§       Each car will have free access for up to two adults and as many kids (U16) who are legal passengers in the car.  Normal entry on the Sunday costs $40 per adult.

§       You can display your car, but you can’t ‘cruise’ (boo/hiss!!!)

To participate we have to register cars from our Club that wish to attend. The latest date that you can register with our Club coordinator Graham Gittins is Friday 30 November.   When you register Graham needs to know: (1) Owners Name (2) Vehicle type and year (3) Vehicle Rego and (4) Adults and children attending.
